My TMSL-55 scanner scans a barcode successfully, but no data appears on my device. What should I do?
If your TMSL-55 is being used in Bluetooth mode and the scanner does not transmit scanned data to your device, please follow these steps.
1. Check the Bluetooth connection
If the scanner scans the barcode but makes an error sound/beep, this usually indicates that the scanner is not connected to your device via Bluetooth.
Please follow these steps:
Scan the “Bluetooth Keyboard” configuration barcode.
- Open the Bluetooth settings on your computer, tablet, or other device.
- Search for the scanner in the available Bluetooth devices.
- Select the scanner and connect/pair it with your device.
- Open Notepad or another text-input application and scan a barcode to test it.
Tip: The scanner must be connected to your device via Bluetooth before scanned data can be transmitted.
2. If the scanner makes a successful scan sound but no data appears
If the scanner makes the normal successful decoding sound when scanning, but the barcode data does not appear on your device, the scanner may have been switched to wired/USB mode.
Please scan the wireless/Bluetooth mode configuration barcode to switch the scanner back to wireless mode. Then search for the scanner again in your device's Bluetooth settings and reconnect it.

3. Make sure the scanner is not in Inventory Mode
If the scanner is in Inventory Mode, scanned data may be stored in the scanner's memory instead of being transmitted immediately.
Please scan the Exit Inventory Mode configuration barcode to return the scanner to normal scanning mode.
4. Test the scanner
After reconnecting the scanner:
- Open Notepad, a text field, or another application where you want the barcode data to appear.
- Place the cursor in the text field.
- Scan a barcode.
- Check whether the barcode data is displayed.
